The establishment of full diplomatic relations was followed by a spate of reciprocal high-level official visits. The bilateral economic relations have been increasing and Israel has become one of the India’s major trading partners in the region. Contemporarily, both the countries are taking steps to bridge the bilateral relationship with new zeal and zest. The two countries have established a web of long-term economic partnerships cutting across key and strategic business sectors. When two nations are motivated to strengthen their economic relations, their leaders underline the historical and cultural association between the two people from times immemorial. With the establishment of formal diplomatic relations with Israel, there were many rounds of talks and exchanges on military and defence related matters. The paper tries to examine the changing relationship since 1990s between India and Israel.
