THE ROLE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY IN PROMOTING ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN EMIRATI SOCIETY: A STUDY ON TECHNOLOGY CULTURE AND ITS IMPACT ON ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
Abstract
This study explores the role of modern technology in enhancing entrepreneurship in the UAE, with a focus on the culture of technology and its impact on economic and social development. The study addresses a critical issue, namely the gap between the use of technology in daily life and its cultural integration, especially in the presence of traditional mindsets and misconceptions about technology use. It examines the challenges faced by youth and entrepreneurs, such as high costs, lack of academic guidance, and the limited awareness of older generations regarding the importance of technology.
The study aims to analyze the effect of modern technology on entrepreneurship in the UAE, identify factors that promote or hinder its use, and propose practical solutions to enhance technology culture across various segments of society. The research adopts a quantitative methodology using surveys targeting entrepreneurs, high school students, and parents to explore their use of technology, its benefits, and the obstacles they face.
The results reveal that modern technology significantly enhances productivity and entrepreneurship potential. However, cultural and social challenges, including traditional perspectives and generational divides, hinder its widespread adoption. The study highlights the role of education and social relationships in bridging these gaps and promoting a technological mindset.
This research contributes to understanding the relationship between technology and entrepreneurship in the UAE's socio-economic context and provides practical recommendations to enhance technology’s role in sustainable development while respecting Emirati values and traditions.
